Weapons - arrest On February 8, 2016 at 10:01 a.m., the Guelph Police were called to a Quebec Street school after receiving the report that a male student had a collapsible baton. Police located the baton and a knife on the male and he was arrested.

On February 8, 2016 at 10:01 a.m., the Guelph Police were called to a Quebec Street school after receiving the report that a male student had a collapsible baton. Police located the baton and a knife on the male and he was arrested.

A 16-year-old Guelph male has been charged with two counts of carry a concealed weapon and two counts of breach OIC undertaking. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing. 

Break and enter

On February 8, 2016 at 8:15 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Water Street school to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered a portable sometime over the weekend. No theft is reported but property damage was caused.

Attempt break and enter

On February 9, 2016 at 12:53 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Malcolm Road business to investigate an attempt break and enter. The culprit(s) broke a rear window and damaged the front door but no entry appears to have been gained.

Car fires

On February 9, 2016 at 12:55 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Lewis Road business in response to the report of two cars on fire. Police arrived to find that two vehicles parked in a locked compound on the property were fully engulfed in flames. A third vehicle was also damaged due to its close proximity to the other cars. The Guelph Fire Department attended to deal with the fire.
