Break and enters, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On Jan. 15, 2018 Guelph police were called to an address on Surrey Street, where there was a report of a suspicious male. Police quickly learned that there had recently been several break and enters in the area. With the assistance of the community, Guelph police were able to locate the responsible male. A 46-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with two counts of break and enter with intent and two counts of break and enter – commit theft. He was held for a bail hearing.

On Jan. 15, 2018 at approximately 3:05 p.m., Guelph police were called to an address on Western Avenue, where there was a report of an assault. Investigation revealed the individual suspected of being responsible for the assault was wanted by the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS). A 25 year old Guelph man was arrested for the warrant and custody was given to WRPS.

On Jan 15, 2018, the Guelph Police went to a Wyndham Street North commercial property to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered sometime overnight and stole cash and electronic equipment.
