Break and enter, wanted for arrest, collision, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On Jan. 22, 2018 at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers from the Guelph Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police were called to the intersection of Gordon Street and Maltby Road. A vehicle was reported to have lost control and rolled over. The driver of the vehicle that rolled over received minor injuries.

On Jan. 22, 2018 at 1:30 p.m., Guelph police were called to a residential building on Carden Street, where there was a report of property damage. Investigation lead to the identity of the suspect.

At 3:05 p.m., the suspect, a 55-year-old Guelph man, was located, arrested and charged with mischief under $5000. He was held for a bail hearing.

On Jan.22, 2018, the Guelph Police went to a business on Elizabeth Street to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered a fenced compound overnight and stole an electric bicycle. This bicycle was located a short time later in the area of the break and enter.

On Jan. 22, 2018, the Guelph Police went to a business on Silvercreek Parkway North to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered a secured compound overnight and stole a 2000 GMC Sierra pickup truck, beige in colour. This pickup truck had a black 2003 Ski-Doo MX2 in the back.

On Jan. 22, 2018, the Guelph Police went to an Edinburgh Road residential building to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the lobby sometime overnight and broke into mail boxes.
