Break and enter, theft, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On Jan. 5, 2018 Guelph police were called to a Waterloo Avenue address to investigate a theft. It is alleged that a male approached a parked commercial motor vehicle and stole an item. From investigation, the male was identified.

On Jan. 8, 2018 at 9:22 a.m., the male was located and arrested. Anthony Douglas, a 42-year-old Guelph male, was charged with theft under $5000. He was given a Feb. 20, 2018 court date.

In the last 24 hours, the Guelph Police Service dealt with 259 calls for service.
