On Monday, June 12, 2017 at approximately 10:40 p.m., a dark coloured motor vehicle struck a silver Honda Civic in the parking lot of the Metro Grocery store 500 Edinburgh Road South causing significant damage to the Honda.

The following is a news release from Guelph Police:

Request for witnesses

On Monday, June 12, 2017 at approximately 10:40 p.m., a dark coloured motor vehicle struck  a silver Honda Civic in the parking lot of the Metro Grocery store 500 Edinburgh Road South causing significant damage to the Honda. The male driver then fled the scene in what is believed to be a Black Acura. This vehicle will have damage to the front end.  

Guelph Police are asking for any witnesses to this collision or information about a dark coloured Acura with front end damage to contact Constable B. Murphy at 519-824-1212 ext. 7167 or [email protected].

Break and enter

Sometime overnight on June 11, an unknown person(s) broke into the fenced compound of Stone Road business and took 20 used car batteries from the yard. Each battery is valued at approximately $20 and those responsible may try to sell them for scrap of some type.
