On June 13, 2016 at 11:23 p.m., the Guelph Police received the report that a truck was stolen from Massey Road sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 11:15 p.m.

On June 13, 2016 at 11:23 p.m., the Guelph Police received the report that a truck was stolen from Massey Road sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 11:15 p.m.  The truck is described as a 2002 GMC Sierra, regular cab, lowered to ground, dark grey, chrome 20” rims, dark tint with a bright purple licence plate on rear, plate # 1467ZL. Another vehicle was located left behind at the scene. That vehicle had been stolen from a Royal Road business sometime after 4 p.m.

Break and enter

On June 13, 2016 at 7:15 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Regal Road business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the fenced yard sometime over the weekend and stole an 18 foot flatbed trailer.

Impaired driver arrested

On June 13, 2016 at 6:13 p.m., the Guelph Police received the report of a possible impaired driver with two small children on board in the area of Costco. Police located the vehicle on Speedvale Avenue at 6:25 p.m. and a traffic stop was conducted. Police spoke with the female driver and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. She failed this test and was arrested. The children’s father attended to pick them up.

Amaya Garcia, 24 years old of Guelph has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80 mg. She will appear in court on June 28, 2016.

In the area of Kortright Road and Edinburgh Road from 7:30 a.m. - 9:20 a.m. - 9 tickets issued.

In the area of Victoria Road and Greenview Street from 12:15 p.m. - 1:20 p.m. - 7 tickets issued.
