On June 27, 2016 at 9:34 a.m., the Guelph Police went to June Avenue Public School to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) pried open a window and reached in to steal three Chrome books.

On June 27, 2016 at 9:34 a.m., the Guelph Police went to June Avenue Public School to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) pried open a window and reached in to steal three Chrome books.

Collision – impaired driver arrested

On June 27, 2016 at 9:22 p.m., the Guelph Police went to the area of Aspen Valley Crescent and Cole Road for the report of a collision. Police spoke with the male driver that had driven the vehicle that caused the collision, determined him to be intoxicated and he was arrested. 

Jason Martin, 37 years of Guelph has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80 mg. He will appear in court on July 15, 2016.

Stolen car quickly recovered

On June 27, 2016 at 6:31 a.m., the Guelph Police received the report of a stolen vehicle taken from the driveway of a Downey Road home sometime overnight.  The owner did have Onstar equipped in the vehicle. Onstar was able to locate the vehicle at the Yorgate Mall on Finch Avenue in Toronto. A message was the sent to Toronto Police to check the area. Guelph Police were notified at 8:50 a.m. that they located the vehicle. Toronto Police also arrested one person in relation to this incident.
