In the last 24 hours, Guelph Police dealt with 243 calls for service

The following news release was issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Male going through cars arrested
On Sept. 18, 2018 at approximately 1:20 a.m., Guelph Police were called to the area of Kathleen Street and Speedvale Avenue in regard to some males going through yards and looking into vehicles.

Guelph Police attended to the area and located one off the males at the corner of Woolwich Street and Speedvale Avenue. Through investigation, it was learned the male was currently wanted for a first instance warrant for breaching his probation order and failing to comply with his recognizance. A bench warrant also existed for the male for three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, six counts of use credit card, five counts of breaching his probation order, and failing to comply with his recognizance.

In regard to the male going through vehicles, the male was also charged with two counts of failing to comply with his recognizance, breaching his probation order, fail to re-attend court and possession of identity information. A 36-year-old Guelph male is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 18, 2018.
