Two arrested following vehicle theft investigation

The Guelph Police Break and Enter and Auto Theft (BEAT) team recently located stolen motor vehicles within Guelph, however, property within one of those motor vehicles was still missing. Continued investigation lead to the arrest of a female. Subsequent to the female's arrest, a warrant to search her west-end Guelph residence was executed. Property from the stolen motor vehicle along with stolen identity documents were located during the search.

During the execution of the search warrant, a man was located within the residence. He was wanted on a warrant and was arrested.

The 41-year-old Guelph female has been charged with trafficking in stolen property, possession of stolen property, possession of identity documents, and breach of probation. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on March 13, 2019.

The 28-year-old Guelph man has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and two counts of assault. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

This investigation was a joint investigation by several Guelph Police Units working together. B.E.A.T., H.E.A.T., Tactical and C.I.B.
