On March 15, 2019, the Guelph Police Service commenced an investigation into a Guelph male and his involvement in the trafficking of fentanyl. This investigation lead to the arrest of the male and a female. A search of the male and female subsequent to their arrests discovered over $500 in fentanyl on the woman and over $9,000 on the man. A CDSA search warrant was then executed at the man’s residence. A small quantity of Oxycodone was located.
The 39-year-old Guelph man has been charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose and possession of a controlled substance. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The 38-year-old Guelph woman has been charged with possession of a controlled substance. She will appear in court on May 3, 2019.
