Two arrests made in theft investigation

On Feb. 8, 2018, security at a department store in the south end initiated a theft investigation after three people were observed behaving suspiciously. Security confirmed a theft and on Feb. 10, 2018, the Guelph Police Service were contacted and continued the investigation.

On Feb. 26, 2018 Rayna Almas, a 22-year-old Guelph female, was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property. Kurtis Gray, a 20-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property and breaching a recognizance. Both suspects were given an April 10, 2018 court date.

The investigation is not complete. Police know a third person is involved and will be issuing an arrest warrant.
