On Feb. 1, 2019 at approximately 3:20 a.m., Guelph Police attended a parking lot on Vanier Drive about a call regarding a suspicious vehicle. Officers observed a black GMC Sierra pickup truck with two occupants. Investigation revealed that the truck had been stolen from the Peel region. Both occupants were arrested. A small quantity of heroin and other car keys were also seized during the arrest.
A 31-year-old Burlington male and a 27-year-old Mississauga male will appear in court today jointly charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000. The 27-year-old is also charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance.
