Two charged following Speedvale Avenue break and enter

One suspect was found to have a warrant for his arrest related to five LCBO theft investigations

On April 18, 2018 at approximately 12:20 a.m., Guelph police received a call about a break and enter in progress at a Speedvale Avenue West residence. Police arrived on scene shortly after the call and located two suspects.

As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Guelph woman and a 38-year-old Guelph man were charged with:

  • two counts of break and enter,
  • two counts of mischief under $5,000 and possession of break-in tools

The 38-year-old man was further charged with breaching a probation order.

In addition to the charges listed above, the 38-year-old man was found to have a warrant for his arrest, relative to several theft incidents. All of the theft incidents are related to items taken from an LCBO. The male is alleged to have stolen items on Feb. 12, March 4, March 6, March 14, and March 17 (all 2018 incidents.)

The 38-year-old male was further charged with five counts of theft under $5,000 and one count of breaching his probation order.
