Two charged in Eastview drug bust

In late 2018, the Guelph Police Service Drug Unit initiated a drug investigation into drug trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, on Feb. 20, 2019, Guelph police attended to an Eastview residence and arrested two individuals. Subsequent to the arrest, Guelph police executed a search warrant under the Control Drugs and Substance Act. The investigation also resulted in the seizure of cash, cocaine, psilocybin and drug paraphernalia. Total drugs and cash are estimated to have a value of $3,000.

Scott Hemstreet, a 36-year-old Guelph male; and Danielle Pilgrim, a 23-year-old female, were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. They were both given an April 2, 2019 court date.
