Two charged with impaired driving

Concerned citizens alerted police after witnessing erratic driving

On May 24, 2017, at 5:19 a.m., a concerned citizen contacted the Guelph Police to report a vehicle that was driving erratically on Gordon St. S., Guelph. Officers attended the area, located the vehicle and the driver was arrested for impaired driving.

The driver was transported to the station where she provided two breath samples and was subsequently charged with drive over 80.

Further investigation revealed that she was also in breach of a condition of her probation and she was charged accordingly.

Shannon Danker, 38 years of Kitchener was charged with impaired driving, drive over 80, breach probation, drive while under suspension and numerous other Highway Traffic Act offences. She will appear in court June.

On May 22, 2017, at 7:12 p.m., a vehicle was traveling erratically southbound on Vipond St., Guelph when it struck a parked unoccupied vehicle. Witnesses reported that the driver got out of his vehicle, checked the extensive damage to both vehicles then sped off at a high rate of speed.

On May 24, 2017, at 9:18 a.m., the accused was located and arrested without incident.

Jason Bugailiskis, 46 years of Guelph was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fail to remain at the scene of an accident, and owner operate motor vehicle on highway - no insurance. He will appear in court on July 4, 2017.
