Two Etobicoke teens accused of using forged prescriptions at Guelph pharmacies

On May 16, 2020 at 4:30 p.m., an adult female attended to a pharmacy located near the intersection of Paisley Road and Imperial Road South in the City of Guelph. She presented a prescription for amoxicillin and hydrocodone bitartrate. She then left the store while her prescription was being prepared.

At 5:18 p.m., she returned to the pharmacy and left after receiving the prescribed drugs.

Further investigation by the pharmacist revealed that the prescription was actually fraudulent.

On May 20 at 3:14 p.m., the female turned herself in to the Guelph Police Service station and she was subsequently arrested.

An 18-year-old Etobicoke female has been charged with:
    •    Fraud under $5,000
    •    Uttering forged document

She will appear in court on Sept. 4.

On May 16, 2020 at 4:47 p.m., another adult female attended to a pharmacy located near the intersection of Silvercreek Parkway North and Willow Road in the City of Guelph. She also presented a prescription for amoxicillin and hydrocodone bitartrate and left after receiving the prescribed drugs.

Further investigation by the pharmacist revealed that the prescription was actually fraudulent.

On May 20 at 3:05 p.m., the female turned herself in to the Guelph Police Service station and she was subsequently arrested.

A second 18-year-old Etobicoke female has been charged with:
    •    Fraud under $5,000
    •    Uttering forged document

She will appear in court on Sept. 4.
