Two face drug charges following traffic stop

The two are accused of possessing suspected cocaine, crack, and drug paraphernalia

On June 30, 2018 at approximately 9:45 p.m., Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop on Paisley Road. The female driver of the motor vehicle was found to be a suspended driver. While speaking with the driver, police observed a large bag containing what is believed to be a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in plain view. Both the driver and the passenger were arrested.

In addition to the controlled substance in the vehicle, the driver, Sarah Davison, a 40-year-old Guelph female, was found with controlled substances, which are believed to be crack cocaine and cocaine on her person and the passenger, Marco Smith, a 33-year-old Guelph male, was found with a controlled substance, which is believed to be cocaine on his person.

As a result, Davison and Smith were both arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (x2). Davison was additionally charged with drive under suspension (x2) and drive no licence under the Highway Traffic Act. Both Davison and Smith are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 10, 2018.
