Over the lunch hour on Aug. 29, a 46-year-old man was struck on the roadway by a westbound vehicle on Massey Road. The pedestrian received some minor injuries and was transported to the hospital as a precaution. The male driver of the vehicle was charged with careless driving.
Later in the day at approximately 5 p.m., there was a three car collision when a female driver slowed her vehicle to make a turn from Elmira Road onto Massey Road and was struck from behind by another vehicle. A third vehicle was struck and there were some minor injuries reported that did not require medical attention. Careless driving charges were also laid in this collision.
