Two vehicles clocked going 60 km over the limit

TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH - On Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 at approximately 4:30 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 32, west of Guelph. The officer observed two cars travelling in the same direction at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit.

A 2015 Mazda 3 was locked on radar at 138 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. A 2011 Infiniti GVS was locked on radar at 141 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

24-year-old Adrian Robin Kerr of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle (138/80) contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on September 20, 2017. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute. 

23-year-old Christopher Azzapardi of Windsor has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle (141/80) contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on September 20, 2017. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
