On October 8, 2016 as part of Operation Impact, GPS traffic officers were conducting speed enforcement on Wellington Street in the area of Edinburgh Road.

Police stopped a motor vehicle travelling at 89 km/hr in the 60 km/hr zone being operated by a 57-year-old Guelph woman.

Upon speaking to the driver the officer observed a young child approximately two years in a child seat in the rear of the vehicle.

The child was not fastened in the seat by any means.
