A 59-year-old Guelph woman is charged with break and enter following a pair of break-ins at an otherwise unoccupied downtown-area home on Wednesday.
Police first responded to the residence shortly before 1 p.m. when staff from a local service agency which owns the home discovered a broken basement window and evidence someone had been inside, including graffiti on the floors.
Surveillance video led to the identification of a suspect, explains a police news release.
As efforts to locate the suspect continued, police were called back to the home at about 6:45 p.m. While conducting a premise check, staff came across another broken window and the suspect from earlier was still inside
The accused is set to make a court appearance on Nov. 30.
