UPDATE: Injuries in Tuesday crash 'serious but not life threatening' say police

Police investigate after a motorcycle and SUV collided at the intersection of Victoria Road and Woodlawn Road Tuesday night.

A Guelph male was transported to a Hamilton trauma centre with serious injuries following a collision Tuesday evening between a motor vehicle and an e-bike.

Police were called at approximately 5:30 p.m. to the intersection of Victoria Road North and Woodlawn Road East. A motor vehicle was making a left turn to travel northbound on Victoria Road when it collided with an e-bike.

The driver of the e-bike, a 46-year-old Guelph male, was transported to Hamilton by Guelph Wellington Paramedic Service. His injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening.

The intersection was closed for approximately three hours as members of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit and Forensic Identification Unit investigated.
