Vehicle reported stolen on Friday involved in collision later that same day: Guelph Police

During the morning of July 12, 2019 Guelph Police responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Officers quickly located the vehicle but it fled from police at a high rate of speed. 

Having concern for public safety, police did not pursue the vehicle.

Later that afternoon, the vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle collision. Police attended to the collision to learn that the driver of the motor vehicle fled on foot prior to police arrival.

A search of the area was conducted using a K9 unit however police were unable to locate driver. There is no concern for public safety, however, Guelph Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have information regarding this incident. Please contact Constable Scott Riche in the Traffic Unit.
