Vehicle roll-over leads to charges for 22-year-old driver

TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH - On Friday Nov. 23, 2018 at approximately 10 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a vehicle collision on Wellington Road 16, east of Arthur. It was reported that a silver sedan was involved in a roll-over.

Police attended and while speaking with the male driver formed the opinion that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Detachment for testing. No one was injured in the crash.

Twenty-two-year-old Jesse Lee Bosnjack of Wellington North has been charged with impaired driving and driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on Dec. 18, 2018.  

If you suspect someone is driving while their ability to operate a motor vehicle is impaired, either by drug or alcohol, call police at 911 to report it.

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA - On Sunday Nov. 25, 2018, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) Check on the Highway 6, north of Guelph. At approximately 1 a.m. the driver of a grey pickup entered the R.I.D.E. check.

While speaking with the male driver, officers formed the opinion that he was under the influence of alcohol. A roadside screening test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

Sixty-five-year-old Gerard J. Meagher of Eramosa has been charged with driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on Dec. 21, 2018.

While speaking with the male driver, officers formed the opinion that he was under the influence of alcohol. A roadside screening test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

Forty-five-year-old Steven Robert Holley of South Bruce Peninsula has been charged with driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on Dec. 18, 2018.
