On March 27, 2018 at approximately 6:30 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Wellington Road 7, north of Guelph, where a cyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle.
Forty-eight-year-old Richard Lane of Fergus was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing and OPP is asking that anyone who was driving on County 7 around the time of the collision, and saw the cyclist or has a dashboard camera to please call OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
