Victim of wheelchair collision dies from injuries

On May 14, 2019, the Guelph Police went to a collision at Edinburgh Road North and Willow Road. Investigation determined that at approximately 11:36 a.m., a 57-year-old Guelph man operating an electric wheel chair was crossing within the intersection when a four-door sedan, which was operated by a 50-year-old Guelph woman, struck him. The sedan then partially left the roadway and struck a cement retaining wall on the east side of the roadway.

Update:
On May 21, 2019, the 57-year-old Guelph man, Paul Bell, has died from complications related to the injuries he received in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
