CITY OF GUELPH - On Feb. 28, 2017 at approximately 8:44 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road in the City of Guelph.
The officer observed a male driving a 2013 Volkswagen travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 133 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
20-year-old Tanner Langille, of Caledon, has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on Apr. 5, 2017.
His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
