WELLINGTON - On Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a shoplifting theft at Walmart on St. David Street North, Fergus. Loss prevention staff had observed a male attempting to thieve approximately $900 in products.

Forty-four-year-old Leslie P. (Les) Gagnon of Fergus was arrested and charged for theft under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on Nov. 7, 2017. He has also been banned from the store.
