On Dec. 29, 2017, while on patrol, Guelph police officers observed a male in a commercial establishment in the west end of the city that was known to be wanted. The male was approached and advised he would be placed under arrest.
As a result of the arrest and previous warrants of arrest, the 28-year-old Guelph male is facing the following charges:
• Five counts of possessing stolen property
• One count of theft of motor vehicle
• One count of possession of ammunition
• One count of possessing a prohibited weapon
• One count of theft under $5,000
• One count of possessing a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
• Three counts of breaching a recognizance of bail order
• One count of failing to appear in court
• One count of breaching an officer in charge undertaking
He was held for a bail hearing.
