Just after midnight on Jan. 3, security staff at the Old Quebec Street Shops contacted police about a female that was loitering inside the lobby area of the mall.

When police arrived and spoke to the young woman, she falsely identified herself and further investigation revealed she was actually wanted on 11 outstanding charges and was taken into custody.

As a result of that interaction with police she was further charged with obstructing police, possession of identity documents, and breach of recognizance and breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

This young person, as defined by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is to appear in bail court today.
