On August 9, 2016 at 3:35 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Woolwich Street business to investigate a break and enter. A male entered, stole cash from the register and then left, last seen heading down Mont Street towards Exhibition Street.

On August 9, 2016 at 3:35 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Woolwich Street business to investigate a break and enter. A male entered, stole cash from the register and then left, last seen heading down Mont Street towards Exhibition Street. The male is described as 5’8”, 17-22 years, moustache/scruff with short curly hair. He was wearing a navy baseball hat with a flat rim, jeans, and basketball type shoes.

Break and enter

On August 9, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Simmonds Drive residence to investigate a break and enter. Sometime overnight their vehicle was entered. The culprit(s) then used the garage door opener to enter the garage. A bicycle and bike trailer are reported stolen.

Property damage

On August 10, 2016 at 2:30 a.m., the Guelph Police went to the area of 170 Victoria Road North for the report of property damage. A man was observed throwing a rock through the rear window of a vehicle then fled the area on a bicycle. The only description was that he was dressed all in black.

Drive over 80 mg

On August 9, 2016 at 10:26 p.m., the Guelph Police went to the Willow Road area after receiving the report of a possible impaired driver. Police located the female driver and car on Willow Road. It was determined that she had alcohol in her system and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. She failed this test and was arrested.

Sanja Kovacevic-Conic, 39 years of Guelph has been charged with drive over 80 mg. She will appear in court on August 23, 2016.

Theft from cars

On August 9, 2016 the Guelph Police received six reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Waterford Drive, Woodlawn Road West, Dawes Avenue, Simmonds Drive and two on Wilton Road.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
