A 17-year-old faces charges

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Youth arrested

On Dec. 24, 2017, Guelph police were called to an east end residence, where there was a report of a disturbance. As a result of the subsequent investigation, a 17-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000. He was held for a bail hearing.

Male breaching his release conditions

On Dec. 27, 2017, at approximately 12:30 a.m. while patrolling, police recognized a male entering a commercial property in the north end of the city. This male was known to police along with conditions he was placed on as a result of previous criminal charges. The 26-year-old Woodstock male was arrested and charged with breaching his recognizance order. He was held for a bail hearing.

Between Dec. 24, 2017 and Dec. 27, 2017 (until 7 a.m.), Guelph police responded to 468 calls for service.
