Break and enters, impaired driver, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On Dec. 5, 2017, the Guelph Police investigated a break and enter to a Liverpool Street residence. The culprit(s) entered the garage and house area sometime overnight. No theft is reported.

On Dec. 5, 2017, the Guelph Police investigated a break and enter to a Palmer Street residence. The culprit(s) entered the detached garage and car sometime overnight. The theft of a bike, change and a backpack is reported.

On Dec. 5, 2017, the Guelph Police investigated a break and enter to a Merion Street residence. The culprit(s) entered the backyard studio/shed and car sometime overnight. The theft of sunglasses and a quantity of cash is reported.

On Dec. 6, 2017 at 1:53 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle in the area of the Hanlon Expressway and Paisley Road. Investigation resulted in the driver being arrested.

Timothy Kelly, 55 years of Elora has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80mg. He will appear in court on Dec. 19, 2017.

Over the course of the day on December 5, 2017 the Guelph Police Service responded to 150 calls for service.
