Staff of a Regal Road business came into work on the morning of Jan. 31 and found that unknown suspect(s) attempted to get into the back of the building sometime overnight. Police attended and were able to confirm that no entry was gained and discovered what appeared to be drill marks on the back door.

Traffic stop leads to arrest

At approximately 12:30 a.m. today, police stopped a vehicle in the area of Stone Road West in regards to some irregularities with its licence plate. After speaking with the driver, investigation revealed that not only was he suspended from driving, but he was also on conditions from a previous criminal offence not to operate a motor vehicle.

The 22-year-old Guelph man was arrested for breaching his recognizance as well as driving under suspension. He is scheduled to appear in bail court today.

Vehicle Collisions

Guelph Police responded to five vehicle collisions over the course of the day that did not involve any reported injuries by those involved. Highway Traffic Act charges were laid in three of those collisions.
