Stolen vehicle, assault, break and enter, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On Feb. 5, 2018 Guelph police received a report of a stolen 2016 Chevy. On Feb. 6, 2018, while on patrol, Guelph police located the vehicle and arrested the driver without incident.

A 27-year-old Teaswater man was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon, breaching his probation and breaching a court order. He was held for a bail hearing.

On Feb. 6, 2018, Guelph police were called to a west end convenience store, where there was a report of an unruly male. Police arrived and located the male. The subsequent investigation resulted in a 28-year-old Guelph male being arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, mischief under, uttering a threat and possession of a controlled substance. There were no injuries in this incident. The male was held for a bail hearing.

On Feb. 6, 2018 Guelph police attended to a Dufferin Street address for a report of a break and enter. Culprit(s) entered a shed sometime overnight and stole two bicycles.
