Property damage, shoplifting reported

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Damage to property - arrest
On Jan. 22, 2018, Guelph police were called to a residential building on Carden Street, where there was a report of property damage. Investigation revealed the identification of the suspect. On Jan. 23, 2018, the suspect was located in the area of the court house and arrested. Kristen Bolt, a 20-year-old Guelph female, was charged with mischief under $5,000 and a related Trespass to Property Act charge. She was given a Feb. 23, 2018 court date.

Multiple shoplifters - arrested
On Jan. 23, 2018, Guelph police were called to a department store on Stone Road, where there was a report of a theft in progress. Investigation revealed there were three suspects. They were all located and arrested. A 29-year-old Toronto female and a 51-year-old Toronto male were arrested and charged with theft under $5,000. They were given a March 6, 2018 court date. A 35-year-old Toronto old male was charged with theft under, breach of probation and breaching an Order of Recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing.

Property damage - arrest
On Jan. 23, 2018, Guelph police were called to the Guelph General Hospital, where there was a report of property damage. Investigation revealed that security had spoken to a male earlier in the day about the law surrounding the Smoke Free Ontario Act. This same male was spoken to again by security and is alleged to have damaged property at the hospital during this interaction. Rudolfo Reda, a 59-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000 and breaching his probation order. He was given a March 2, 2018 court date.
