The 24-year-old Guelph man was arrested and charged with breach of recognizance and breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in bail court.

Motor vehicle collisions

There were seven collisions investigated yesterday and led to four charges were laid.  Three of them involved some minor injuries and in one of those collisions where a vehicle struck a traffic pole near Speedvale Avenue and Silvercreek Parkway, the driver was transported to hospital by ambulance to tend to those minor injuries.

Weather forecasters are calling for a drop in temperatures today and it is easily foreseeable that with all of the rain on the roads from the last two days, it will freeze up and create some challenging driving conditions. Please slow down and give yourself more time to stop in anticipation of the slippery conditions.

On Jan. 3, 2017,  the Guelph Police Service were involved in 186 calls for service.
