On July 5, 2016 at 10:10 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Cassino Avenue residence for the report that a male had pointed a long gun at another male and threatened to shoot him.

Weapons call leads to arrest

On July 5, 2016 at 10:10 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Cassino Avenue residence for the report that a male had pointed a long gun at another male and threatened to shoot him. Police contained the immediate area and the male was arrested at 11:15 a.m.

An 18-year-old Guelph man is charged with weapons dangerous, point firearm and utter threats. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on July 6, 2016.

Theft/drugs

On July 5, 2016 at 12:35 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Walmart to assist with a female reported to have left the store with stolen merchandise. The female was located behind an adjacent business with a grocery cart full of stolen property and she was arrested. The subsequent search discovered small quantities of Crystal Meth, Cocaine, Heroin and LSD.

A 32-year-old Cambridge female has been charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance and theft under $5,000. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on July 6, 2016.
