On June 22, 2016 the Guelph Police Service received the report that between 3:00-3:30 p.m., a man had committed an alleged indecent act while at Old Quebec Street Mall. He has been identified and was arrested on June 28, 2016.

On June 22, 2016 the Guelph Police Service received the report that between 3:00-3:30 p.m., a man had committed an alleged indecent act while at Old Quebec Street Mall. He has been identified and was arrested on June 28, 2016. 

Keith Devolin, 71 years of Guelph has been charged with voyeurism and indecent act. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial court on August 9, 2016.

Police patrol leads to arrest

On June 28, 2016 at 5:50 a.m., the Guelph Police were patrolling in the Stephanie Drive area when they observed a man backing a vehicle out of a driveway. As police approached, the vehicle stopped and pulled back into the driveway. Police spoke with the driver who identified with what was discovered to be a false name. Further investigation found that the man was breaching court imposed conditions. Police attempted to arrest him but he broke free and ran towards the residence. After a brief foot pursuit and struggle, he was arrested. The subsequent search located a knife.

Richard Szonyi, 32 years of Fort Erie has been charged with obstruct police, escape lawful custody, carry a concealed weapon, breach of probation and two counts of breach of recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial court on July 5, 2016.
