Female Arrested with Stolen Credit Card On March 15, 2016 Guelph Police were notified that a female was attempting to purchase items with a fraudulent credit card in the north end.

On March 15, 2016 Guelph Police were notified that a female was attempting to purchase items with a fraudulent credit card in the north end. Investigation revealed the victim and female suspect are known to each other. The suspect had been successful in making several purchases fraudulently. Police located and arrested an 18-year-old Guelph woman and charged her with three counts of unauthorized use of a credit card, five counts of possession of identity documents and possession of stolen property. She has been held for a bail hearing.

Theft from cars

On March 15, 2016 the Guelph Police received eight reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were all in the area of downtown Guelph. Various items from cash, CDs to a wallet were taken.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
