Cyclist struck, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On March 27, 2018 at approximately 8:15 a.m., Guelph police attended to the intersection of Dublin Street and Waterloo Avenue, where there was a report of a cyclist struck. Investigation alleges a 52-year-old male cyclist was eastbound on Waterloo Avenue and was struck by a northbound vehicle, driven by an 82-year-old Guelph male. The cyclist received minor injuries. The 82-year-old driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act.

In the last 24 hours, the Guelph Police Service dealt with 202 calls for service.
