Robbery On May 25, 2016, the Guelph Police were called to the 7/11 on Eramosa Road for a reported robbery. At 3:50 a.m., two males came into the store and brandished a weapon, demanding cash from the employee.

On May 25, 2016, the Guelph Police were called to the 7/11 on Eramosa Road for a reported robbery. At 3:50 a.m., two males came into the store and brandished a weapon, demanding cash from the employee. The males made off with a small quantity of cash.  Police searched the area but did not locate the males.

Suspect descriptions:

1) dark skinned, grey hooded sweater wearing white sunglasses, light grey track pants with dark shoes, red/black satchel across the chest bag

2) dark skinned, dark blue or black hoodie with a white emblem on the front in a circle with possibly a skull in the middle, wearing blue jeans with a possible rip above the left knee, white running shoes and white gloves

Break and enter

On May 24, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Wilson Street building to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the building that is under construction, sometime over the weekend and stole tools with a wheelbarrow.

On May 24, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Saigon Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the basement apartment sometime over the weekend. A key and ring are reported stolen.

On May 24, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Durham Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered a shed on the property and stole a red and white Trek road bicycle.

Shoplifter arrested

On May 24, 2016 at 6:30 p.m., the Guelph Police went to the Bullfrog Plaza at 380 Eramosa Road to assist a business owner with a male shoplifter. Police located the male on the plaza property and he was arrested. A subsequent search discovered property stolen from several stores in the area.

A 16-year-old Rockwood male has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and three counts of theft under $5,000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on May 25, 2016.
