Guelph Police responded to 197 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Male arrested for shoplifting meat
On Nov. 12, 2019 at 6 p.m., security at a grocery store located on the west end of the City of Guelph observed an adult male shoplift $233.48 worth of meat products. Police attended the scene and arrested the male.

A 28-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with probation order

He will appear in court on Dec. 31, 2019.

2013 silver GMC Sierra pickup truck stolen
On Nov. 12, 2019 at 5:25 p.m., an adult male started his 2013 silver GMC Sierra pickup truck and left it running as he quickly ran into a business located near the intersection of Woodlawn Road West and Silvercreek Parkway North in the City of Guelph. When he came back outside, he saw the vehicle being driven out of the parking lot. The vehicle has not been recovered.
