In the last 24 hours, Guelph Police dealt with 248 calls for service

The following information was issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Brass knuckles
On Nov. 13, 2018 at approximately 10 a.m., Guelph Police were at an apartment complex on Carden Street on an unrelated matter when they observed a male who was on conditions not to be there.

As a result, Tyler Reidiger was arrested for breaching his Recognizance. When police searched Reidiger, a pair of brass knuckles was located on him. Reidiger was further charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, breaching his Probation Order, and two counts of breaching a Weapons Prohibition Order. Reidiger appeared in court on Nov. 13, 2018.

Festive RIDE Program
On Nov. 15, 2018, the Guelph Police Service and Wellington County OPP will launch the Festive RIDE campaign. Officers from both the Guelph Police Service and the OPP will conducted RIDE lanes on Wellington Street.

This program will be running through the Holiday Season at all times of day at different locations in the area. The Guelph Police Service wishes everyone the best of the Holiday Season. Take the time to enjoy the season with friends and family, but if you are going to drink alcohol or consume marijuana, make other arrangements to get to and from your destinations!
