On November 1, 2016 at 7 a.m., the Guelph Police went to the Drop in Centre on Gordon Street for the report of an unwanted male inside. The man was on conditions to not attend this location.

Suspicious person

On Nov. 1, 2016 at 10:47 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Stone Road West for the report of a male who was seen entering a garage. At 10:54 p.m., police located a male matching the description. Investigation discovered that the man was wanted on an O.P.P. arrest warrant. The 21-year-old Guelph man was arrested and turned over to O.P.P.

Unwanted person call

On Nov. 1, 2016 at 7 a.m., the Guelph Police went to the Drop in Centre on Gordon Street for the report of an unwanted male inside. The man was on conditions to not attend this location. Police attempted to arrest him, he resisted and after a short struggle he was taken into custody.

Joseph Stafford, 34 years old of no fixed address has been charged with breach undertaking, breach probation, two counts of breach recognizance and resist arrest. He will appear in court on Nov. 7, 2016.

Break and enter

On Nov. 2, 2016 at 2:15 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Crimea Street building to investigate a break and enter. A tenant of the building observed an unknown male inside after he tried to open her door. The tenant yelled at the male who then left the building. No theft is reported. He is described as wearing a hoody and baggy pants with a black knapsack.

Theft from cars

On Nov. 2, 2016 the Guelph Police received two reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Hearn Avenue and Karen Avenue.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
