A call to check on a female’s wellbeing Thursday ended with that same female being arrested on an outstanding warrant, say Guelph police.
Approximately 3 p.m., police were asked to check on a female who appeared to be in distress in the area of Westmount Road and London Road West. Officers located the female, who stated she was fine and did not need assistance. Further investigation revealed the female was wanted after missing a court date last month for several charges, including three counts of failing to appear in court.
A 33-year-old Guelph female was arrested on a further count of failing to appear. She was held for a bail hearing Friday.
