Wellington County police seek information on a suspicious fire

TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON - On March 12, 2017, at approximately 8:55 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call regarding a fire on a vacant property located on First Line, West Garafraxa, Township of Wellington North. 

The fire was to renovation materials located outside the home, plus a tree was also on fire. There was an unoccupied house on the property which was not damaged.

Centre Wellington Fire Rescue Department attended the scene and extinguished the fire. The cause at this time is considered to be suspicious. 

This incident is being investigated by the Wellington County OPP, West Region Criminal Operations and the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU)
