Wellington Road 7 re-opened after cyclist fatality

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA - Today at approximately 6:30 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Wellington Road 7, north of Guelph, where a cyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle.

The collection of physical evidence at the scene has concluded and the road has been reopened.

The investigation is still ongoing and OPP is asking that anyone who was driving on County 7 around the time of 6:30 a.m. this morning, and saw the cyclist or has a dashboard camera to please call OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
