On Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 between 7:10 a.m. and 8:56 a.m., the Guelph Police investigated five traffic accidents at various intersections throughout the City of Guelph.

The Guelph police would like to remind drivers that winter driving habits should be observed even though we are experiencing unusually warm November temperatures.

Autumn driving in Ontario can be tricky, so the Guelph Police would like to remind drivers:

  • Steer clear of wet leaves – wet leaves are very slippery and can present the same as icy roads
  • Watch for frost- always scrape frost from ALL your windows to increase visibility.  Frost on roadways and sidewalks is very slippers so please adjust your driving speeds and stopping distances
  • Keep your car in good working order - plan for harsh weather and remember snow tires can help you arrive alive.

Be safe Guelph, buckle up and arrive alive.
