Wire thieves seen via live surveillance video, police called

An alarm company official called police early Wednesday morning as they watched the theft of wire spools from a south end business live via surveillance cameras.

Officers responded to a Southgate Drive business after two males were seen loading several spools into a pickup truck before it fled at about 2:15 a.m.

Both suspects are described as white males. At the time of the incident, they were wearing black hoodies (with hoods up), along with baseball caps, gloves and bandanas over their faces. 

They were seen in a grey Dodge Ram 1500 with covered licence plates.

The investigation is ongoing.
